Comparison
MailerLite vs Kit pricing
Both bill on subscribers, and that is where the similarity ends. MailerLite runs a cheap slider with a 250 subscriber free plan. Kit charges a lot more per subscriber and gives away the first 10,000.

The free plan changes the answer
Kit Newsletter runs to 10,000 subscribers. MailerLite cut its free plan to 250 subscribers and 2,500 monthly emails in June 2026.

Different bets on the same billing model
Kit includes unlimited sends on every paid plan, so send volume never touches the bill. MailerLite Comfort allows 10 times the ceiling of the subscriber tier each month, and only Power removes the cap. A daily sender on MailerLite has to think about that allowance. On Kit it never comes up.
Kit also takes a transaction fee on anything sold through the platform, including on the free plan, so a publisher monetising a list pays more than the subscription line. MailerLite keeps transactional email in a separate product called MailerSend, which is not part of these prices either.
Both repriced inside the last twelve months. Kit went up roughly 35 percent in September 2025 and dropped the old 15 dollar tier. MailerLite went up roughly 10 to 30 percent in June 2026 and renamed both paid plans.
